Some projects demand that a ceramic piece be beautiful and functional at the same time. RF Labs commissioned a sculptural aromatherapy diffuser whose geometry carried real acoustic purpose — meaning the complex form had to be reproduced accurately, not approximately.

Casting complex geometry
Intricate, three-dimensional forms are one of the hardest things to manufacture in ceramic, because the material shrinks as it fires and complex shapes are prone to distortion. The diffuser’s geometry had to survive that process intact to perform as intended.
What we delivered
We built multi-part case moulds to capture the complex form and slip-cast the pieces in porcelain, controlling the process so the geometry held true through firing shrinkage. It’s a clear example of our sculptural and precision capability working together on a single technical brief.
